About Juno
Juno automates the data-entry bulk of tax preparation for small and mid-sized accounting firms: it reads 92+ document types, populates the return, flags prior-year changes and inconsistencies for human validation, and reports cutting preparation time by roughly half. Its design premise is explicit — the human preparer drives the process and retains final authority, with the AI handling the busy work rather than the judgment.
It was founded by CPA Dave Haase, who started building after seeing an OpenAI demo in 2023 while running his own Bay Area firm, then sold that firm to work on Juno full time. The product launched in July 2025 and raised a $12M seed led by Bonfire Ventures in April 2026, with Impression Ventures and Xfund participating.
Reads and classifies 92+ source-document types to auto-populate returns, automating around 90% of data entry while surfacing prior-year changes and inconsistencies for a preparer to validate.
