About Blue J

Blue J began in 2015 when University of Toronto law professor Benjamin Alarie and co-founders set out to predict tax-case outcomes with machine learning. It has since become one of the most-funded AI tax research companies anywhere, raising a $122M USD Series D in August 2025 led by Oak HC/FT and Sapphire Ventures.
