About Aiwyn
Aiwyn started in 2020 automating the unglamorous side of CPA firms — billing, invoicing, collections — and now sells an AI practice-management platform used by more than 800 accounting firms. In December 2024 it raised $113M led by KKR and Bessemer Venture Partners.
Its boldest move is Aiwyn Tax: built on the 2025 acquisitions of Taxa and Column Tax (the first IRS-authorized API-first filing engine, previously embedded in apps like Chime and NerdWallet), it automates 1040 preparation, review, and filing, piloting with 100 firms for the 2026 season.
Aiwyn Tax uses the acquired Column Tax engine to automate 1040 preparation, review, and filing for firms, alongside AI automation of billing, collections, and client workflows.
